National School Lecture Program
The heart of the Center program is several leadership schools per year throughout the nation for aspiring civic and political leaders, to provide them an exciting adventure learning about the Founders’ Federalist principles and how they are critical for effective leadership skills. The schools themselves are for college and advanced high school students, interns and other young adults. Admission is free for qualified students. Schools run from 8:45 am to 4:30 pm on Saturdays to allow students to attend. Bob Novak speaks at a luncheon open also to adults for a nominal contribution. Students attend classes before and after lunch. Schools are typically held in conjunction with a local think tank or educational organization, such as the Washington Policy Center for our Seattle event and The Goldwater Institute for our Phoenix school.

At each location the "school" program is similar: two student lecture sessions proceed a lunch and two follow based on the Signature Series program but refined into a shorter, deeper and more dynamic format. These, min turn, were based on earlier successful programs taught by the Center director for the Edison, YAF and FAS foundations. The lunch includes both students and potential supporters so the two can interact. The Director serves as the major faculty with secondary lecturers.
A major task is to recruit the student and supporter attendees. National and local think tanks and foundations are invited to assist or even to become formal cosponsors. Promotion of the events is done through mailings, phoning, advertising, lectures, publications, and local persons and organizations.
